The Art of Running is an exciting new project that combines a public art exposition with a premier international sports event. Twenty-six heroic sized winged-feet will tell the story of what makes the race a legend. Sculpted by Michael Alfano, each Foot will feature a different artist’s original interpretation of the event. It’s our unique adaptation of the popular painted cows exhibit.

Led by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Hopkinton and the Hopkinton Athletic Association, this project aims to provide public access to museum-quality art, offer opportunities for local artists, and raise funds for expanding the Hopkinton Center for the Arts serving the MetroWest area.

This weekend the Feet will be displayed at the marathon exhibit on Main Street in Hopkinton.
